Showcase 5

The showcase presents works by masters of the late 17th century. This period is marked by a change in aesthetic perception, related to a change of view on an artist's role in creating a work of art. Craftsmen begin to sign, stamp their works, that has never happened before. The presence of the brand and the master's signature make the object itself an interesting historical source. In the 17th century there appeared the first treatises on aesthetics, in which master's prestige was raised to an unprecedented height.
